About me

I am a recent graduate from Agnes Scott College’s Studio Art program. I began my undergraduate pathway at Brigham Young University, where I received scholarships to study Studio Art and Art Education. After spending a few years teaching, I decided to complete my Bachelor’s degree at ASC for its innovative learning environment. I plan to pursue postgraduate studies in education with a focus on arts, museums, libraries, nonprofits, and other sites of informal learning.

I’m deeply interested in ecology, particularly the interactions that happen among communities of organisms and their surrounding environments. I use my creative practice to explore the ways that people can learn about and contribute to the social and natural ecosystems around us.

My interests

  • Interactions between ecology and the arts
  • Art and craft as social practice
  • Collaboration within creative processes
  • Mutual aid and other forms of resource exchange
  • Accessible, community-centered education
  • Inquiry-based, experiential learning
  • Imagination, storytelling, and play as a means to spark curiosity, increase learner engagement, and envision change

About this website

I am working to cultivate this site into a space where I can organize and share my explorations, ideas and experiences. I am in the process of gradually compiling and contextualizing my past work and current projects to post them here. My hope is that this site will become a resource for folks of similar interests who might benefit from seeing documentation of my process–including my trials, errors, and discoveries.
